Data and methodology

Canada Pharmacy Map compiles publicly available pharmacy information for Canada. Here's an overview of the data's origin and how we keep it correct.

Sources

The directory draws on OpenStreetMap and other public listings, which we then organize into a uniform format with opening hours, contacts and services where the data allows.

Deduplication

Because the same pharmacy may appear in more than one source, we merge duplicate entries based on location and name, giving each pharmacy a single page.

How often we check

Updates to the data happen periodically. Each pharmacy page includes the date its details were last checked.

Coverage

At present, we list 15455 pharmacies across 209 cities and towns throughout Canada.
